About

My name is Christina K Roberts. I am a third year PhD Student in the History Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I study the history of science and technology in general and the history of science education, specifically. I also have a minor background in Public History, with an interest in informal science education in museums and science centers. I have experience with Digital History and Digital Humanities. My intellectual background is Russian and Soviet history of science with an enduring love of Early Modern history of science.

I currently research the history of science education as it relates to NASA in the twentieth century. My first published essay “Petite Engineer Likes Math, Music” is found in the award-winning anthology NASA and the Long Civil Rights Movement which you can purchase here .
